Gérard Garcia
Gérard began his career in 1987 as a lawyer specializing in assisting French clients wishing to establish themselves professionally in the United States.
In 1992, Gérard joined major groups in the energy industry (Schlumberger, Cegelec and Gaz de France) as an international lawyer to advise them on drilling operations, negotiations and drafting of oil and gas concessions, particularly in the North Sea. Gérard has also worked on behalf of Gaz de France on strategic dossiers for the financing, construction and privatization of gas distribution networks in Mexico.
In 2000, he joined the Eramet Group (Euronext-listed group) where he created the legal department in charge of operations for territories in North America, South America, South Africa, Northern Europe, Asia and Australia. In that context, Gérard assisted the Group's general management on a takeover bid on the Toronto Stock Exchange concerning the acquisition of Indonesian mining assets, the search for lithium deposits (projects with high political stakes and legal risks) in Bolivia, Chile and Argentina, and environmental issues (criminal litigation concerning local managers, class action proceedings in Texas, litigation against the administration in Ohio, etc.).
Gerard joined the Sodexo Group in 2018 to take charge of the negotiation of numerous international framework agreements relating to facilities management.
In November 2020 Gérard decided to join IMfinity as Associate Director in charge of interim management for all the company's legal functions.
Gérard holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Business Administration from the American University of Paris, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
